Biomaterial of heterologous origin composed of 600-1000 µm prehydrated collagenized granules, suitably mixed with collagen gel.
Thanks to these characteristics, the hydration phase can be avoided and the risk of accidental exposure of the material to pathogens during the preparation phase is reduced; in addition, the syringe simplifies application of the graft to the recipient site. The granules have characteristics very similar to those of human mineral bone, and can therefore be used as an alternative to autologous bone.
Their natural microporous consistency facilitates the formation of new bone tissue in the defect area(1) , accelerating the regeneration process.
Gradually absorbable(2,3), it retains the shape and volume of the original graft (osteoconductive property)(4,5). What's more, thanks to its collagen content, the product facilitates blood coagulation and the subsequent invasion of reparative and regenerative cells.
