Gel 40 is produced using a process unique to Tecnoss® and is composed of 60% heterologous bone and 40% collagen gel.
The use of Gel 40 has been documented for crestal sinus lift with immediate implantation(1,2); Gel 40 also facilitates non-invasive detachment of Schneider's membrane and reduces the risk of perforation(1). The cortico-cancellous component provides the necessary scaffolding function(3). The collagen gel contained in Gel 40 is gradually reabsorbed(1).
